Wendi Fox

Wendi Fox, ASLA, PLA, Senior Landscape Architect

Wendi’s appreciation of outdoor spaces comes from a childhood filled with New Mexico backpacking and hiking trips. Her lifetime involvement with art encourages her to take a close look at her environment. It inspires her interest in how things function. Wendi’s love for landscape architecture stems from her need to protect, understand and create.  One of her favorite activities is traveling.  Experiencing unfamiliar environments gives her a better understanding of her own environment in the desert southwest.

Wendi completed her Bachelors in Art Studio and took numerous horticulture and landscape technology courses. She apprenticed under a San Francisco landscape designer and later owned a small landscape design-build and maintenance business. This experience led to a passion for creating place, integrating creative storm water infrastructure into her designs and helped her gain practical knowledge and appreciation for the construction process. Wendi is also a graduate of the UNM Master of Landscape Architecture program. She interned with the Southern Sandoval County Flood Control Authority. At SSCAFCA, she worked closely with engineers on the design of multi-use flood control facilities and arid LID solutions to storm water management.  At SSW, Wendi utilizes her knowledge of natural systems and arid LID.  She contributes graphic and creative skills to a wide range of projects.
